Dear reader,
This text comes to you at a time that cannot be described as good, a time when written creativity, in particular, has become almost completely abandoned. It is very rare to find people who read books, especially in our Arab societies, which still haven't achieved the first level of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.
Moreover, the current era is a digital one par excellence, and the best proof of this is that you are reading this book digitally. We are not against the digital revolution, quite the contrary. However, I cannot help but say that this digital wealth has made societies move quickly and constantly in a hurry, while books love those who take their time.
Without mourning the past, I present to you, dear reader, this creative and human experience, which I have no doubt will transport you – even if for a few moments – from our noisy world to a world where things move very slowly. A world where you can hear Al-Mutanabbi in the streets of Paris, in a parallel world where one does not know which to choose.
Many years have passed since this work was written, as the opportunity was not available for us to publish it. Now that the opportunity has presented itself, I hope it will meet with your approval.

إن هذا النص الذي بين يديك الآن قد أتى في مرحلة زمنية لا يمكننا أن نصفها بالجيدة، مرحلة أضحى فيه الإبداع المكتوب بصفة خاصة، شبه مهجور تماما، حيث أنه من النادر جدا أن تجد الكتب من يقرؤها، وخاصة في مجتمعاتنا العربية التي لاتزال لم تحقق المرحلة الأولى من هرم ماسلو.
إضافة إلى ذلك، المرحلة الراهنة هي مرحلة رقمية بامتياز، وخير دليل على ذلك هو أنك تقرأ هذا الكتاب رقميا، ولسنا ضد الثورة الرقمية بل على العكس من ذلك، لكن لا أغفل القول بأن هذه الثروة الرقمية جعلت المجتمعات تخطو سريعا ودائما في عجلة من أمرها، والكتاب يحب الذين يتأنون.
من غير أن نبكي على الأطلال، أقدم لك عزيزي القارئ هذه التجربة الإبداعية والإنسانية التي لا أشك في أنها ستنتشلك -ولو للحظات- من عالمنا الصاخب الذي إلى عالم تتحرك فيه الأشياء ببطء شديد، إلى عالم يمكنك أن تسمع فيه المتنبي في شوارع باريس في عوالم موازية لا يدري فيه المرء أيهما يختار.
لقد مر على هذا العمل سينين عدة، حثت لم تكن الفرصة سانحة لنا كي نقوم بنشره، والآن إذ سنحت لنا الفرصة، فأرجو أن ينال استحسانكم.
